FACT SHEET
EVENT PURPOSE Cycle with the Rhino is An annual fund-raising initiative by KWS whose main aim is to rehabilitate the 74km electric fence, key in providing, a successful Rhino breeding sanctuary, protecting internationally renowned bird’s watcher’s paradise famous for its 1.5 million flamingos, and to undertake community conservation education around Lake Nakuru National Park. The funds are also used to carry out CSR projects for various communities around the park.
ENTRY Individuals – Ksh. 5,000 Corporate Organizations – Ksh. 50,000 Kids -1,000 Post to Post sponsors – Ksh. 10,000 (Corporates, a Minimum 10 posts) Spectators – Free Entry Download application form. NB/ Entries will not be accepted without a signed indemnity form.
The closing date for receiving ALL event entries is September 14th 2012
CYCLE WITH RHINO , RACE CATEGORIES
CYCLING RACE PRIZES Each race participant will receive a certificate Additional cash prizes will be issued as follows for male and female;
SPECTATORS Those entering inside the park will pay the normal park entry fees as indicated below;
Vehicle is between Kshs.300 –Kshs.5000 depending on the seating capacity
COURSE The course is an exciting and very challenging
MEDICAL SUPPORT AND WATER Emergency medical support will be provided. A well manned recovery tent will be situated at the finish line. Basic first aid will be available at water stations along the course.
TRANSPORT Participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements to Lake Nakuru National Park.
CANCELLATION POLICY Event race fees are non-refundable if cancellation notice is received less than 30days to the event.
