Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is a State Corporation which was established by the Wildlife (Conservation and Management) Act, 1989 (now repealed and replaced by Wildlife Conservation and Management Act, 2013). The overall mandate of the organization is to conserve and manage wildlife in Kenya. 
In support of the Government’s Youth Initiative, KWS has put in place a one (1) year internship program which aims to provide the youth with an opportunity for on-the job experience and to develop their ability to successfully take up employment opportunities within the Kenyan Labour Market. 

KWS therefore invites qualified and unemployed Kenyan graduate holders of degree and diploma certificates in the following areas of specialization-: Wildlife Management/Environmental Science, Statistics, ICT, Law, Information Science/Library, Procurement Finance/Accounting, Human Resource Management and Communications & Public Relations. 

Requirements for the KWS Internship Program FY 2018/2019 
I. Application Letter

II. Current Curriculum Vitae

III. Must have completed their training and graduated in the last one (1) year

IV. A degree or Diploma  from a recognized institution  in the above disciplines

V. Copies of academic  certificates and transcripts

VI. A letter of recommendation for internship from the learning institution   

VII. Be a Kenyan citizen aged between 20 to 34 years

VIII. Copy of National Identification card 

IX. A valid certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations

X. Personal accident insurance cover 

XI. Medical insurance cover by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or any other reputable medical insurance firm

XII. A copy of PIN certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority

XIII. Not have undertaken any other Internship programme or exposed to work experience related to their area of study since graduation 

How to Apply

Applicants should also attach their C.V with details of their day time contacts, copies of academic certificates, certificate of good conduct, personal accident insurance cover and National ID card or Passport to be received on or before Monday 27th August, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
