CUBA VICE PRESIDENT VISITS NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

The Vice President of the Cuban Council of State and of Ministers, H.E Ines Maria Chapman today, April 2, 2019 visited Nairobi National Park, to sample Kenya’s beautiful wildlife.

H.E Maria Chapman who is visiting Kenya, had an enjoyable two-hour game drive in the park, located within Nairobi city.

Speaking at the entrance to the park, where she was received by KWS Director General, Brigadier (Rtd) John Waweru, H.E Chapman expressed her sincere happiness for the experience she had during the game-drive and hailed the beautiful animals’ groupings across the park.

“I am sincerely happy and gratified with the glamorous nature of the animals at the park and the great job that you Kenyan people have done in conservation efforts in the recent years,” she said.

In response to her appreciation, Brig. John Waweru, acknowledged her special visit to the park and encouraged her to make more visits.

“I personally take this opportunity to thank you for taking time to visit our serene park which is the only national park found  in the city around the world”, said Brig. Waweru.

“As a country, we are committed to achieve the conservation set goals, restock wildlife species facing extinction and also generate more income for our country for its sustainability in generations to come”
