Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is a State Corporation whose responsibility is to manage and conserve wildlife in Kenya. The Service seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative and experienced individuals to replace previous holders of the under-listed vacant positions at its Headquarters in Nairobi:-
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the overall responsibility will be to manage the credit control function in the Service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Formulating, implementing and reviewing credit control policies and procedures.
Overseeing collections by the Accountants in the Semi-autonomous institutions of the Service.
Formulating, implementing and reviewing Leases and Licenses in liaison with Business Development and Legal office.
Coordinating, formulating and reviewing of Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual.
Managing Leases, Licenses, easement agreements and MoUs on property for the entire Service.
Conducting due diligence and evaluating customers for credit worthiness.
Preparing and presenting Debtor’s performance reports on weekly, monthly quarterly and annually basis.
Negotiating payment plans on overdue accounts and recommending to management for approval.
Identifying, drafting, developing and implementing operational processes, policies and guidelines on credit management.
Analyzing performance of existing customers and recommending to management for appropriate action.
Negotiating, drafting and reviewing new Leases, Licenses and MoUs.
Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting Option) or its equivalent
Certified Credit Professional (CCP-K) or its equivalent
At least three (3) years working experience in a relevant field
Membership with a relevant professional body
